Caitlin Alexandra is an interdisciplinary artist from North Yorkshire, UK. She studied at Leeds College of Art before achieving a first class degree from Glasgow School of Art in 2014 and participated in the Phoenix Bursary funded by the Scottish government. In 2017, Caitlin completed a Masters degree in Fine Art at the University of Brighton.
Caitlin's work is performative, using her own body, and incorporates film, photography and elements of sculpture. Her main themes of research centre around the identity, hybridity, gender and fantasy. She takes inspiration from both contemporary and historical sources, referencing popular culture, literature and mythology in her work.
